"Petits Grecs" is based in Thessaloniki, the 2nd largest city in Greece. It was founded by a Greek woman passionate about the little sweet Greek treats, determined to come up with modern recipes that are the most tasty & nutritious of them all, while still based on the tradition. After years of travelling throughout Greece & experimenting with various alternative recipes, the "Petits Grecs" range was officially launched in 2014. A small but dedicated team of people, enriched by famous Greek chefs & pastry chefs, has been making Greek treats ever since. Every recipe comes from a different area of Greece. The original recipe is selected out of the many that its birthplace has to offer & "Petits Grecs" team works over & over the ingredients coming up with their own twist, which they proudly present to you.
"Biskota" stands for biscuits In Greek. You can find many biskota recipes throughout the country. It was difficult for "Petits Grecs" to choose among them the one that would inspire their creations. The aim was to present a series of snacks using ingredients known for their high nutritional value. The cuisine of the southern Greek island of Crete is definitely an inspiration for its nutrition mentality. The diversity of healthy ingredients they used in their home pastry making stimulated our imagination. The delicacy & multiple nutritional values of almonds have established them as one of the most favourite ingredients of Greek pastry making. So, how could an almond cookie be missing from "Petits Grecs" range? They have selected to present them in the traditional round shape with lots of crushed almonds on top.
