ROOTS DIVINO are non-alcoholic aperitifs based on wine (di vino), handcrafted based on age-old herbal remedies, a family legacy of distilling dating back to 1850, & the 100% natural, native ingredients of Greece. The halo shaped label symbolizes the “divine” effect of enjoying a drinking occasion without the alcohol.
Absinthe wine, Vinum absinthium or Vermouth as we call it today, has its roots in ancient Greece & Hippocrates. Hippocrates wine (fortified & wormwood infused wine, prescribed as a remedy), was the first “vermouth”, which was adopted by the Romans & much later developed in Northern Italy.
ROOTS DIVINO BIANCO
Taking us back to the roots of ancient herbal remedies, they rediscover rosemary, thyme & wormwood in a fresh & sour contemporary “Aperitif Bianco” from Greece. They first produce a Mediterranean Vermouth by infusing & macerating the recipe’s Greek herbs into sweetened wine. Then this Vermouth is dealcoholized with a reverse osmosis process.
