Wine is a passport to the world…
Lantides’ wines are a passport to the Greek vineyard!
“Lantides Winery” is a family business established in 1993 by Panikos Lentides with emphasis on giving prominence to the quality Greek wine. The “Nemea Terroir” was what prompted Panikos to cultivate in its lands noble vine varieties like Agiorgitiko, Moschofilero, Assyrtiko & Malagouzia among others.
“Little Ark” is the result of the attempt to give prominence to the quality vineyard of Greece based primarily on the territorial infrastructure by selecting the best vine varieties for these soils. In this way “Lantides Winery” is creating wines in style, with respect to the needs of each variety separately, aiming at the maximum quality & yield of the grape. Additionally, it also highlights both the organoleptic characteristics of each variety & the truly unique terroir.
The red version of “Little Ark” is a dry red wine of Protected Geographical Indication (P.G.I.) of Peloponnese, made from 50% Agiorgitiko & 50% Xinomavro grapes, two indigenous Greek grape varieties, & aged for 14 months in oak barrels. It is a red wine with a deep purple colour with some brick-coloured hues. Its body has an excellent & complex structure. The nose has aromas of ripe fruit such as blackberries & black raspberries coupled with spicy characteristics. The dark fruit character lingers along with subtle oak notes in the long supple finish.
Everything is fine… after a glass of Greek wine!
