Maintenance: Rub with a soft cotton cloth frequently in order to bring back the polishing. In time copper oxidizes & gradually takes a darker antique-like colour. Many people like it. Though if you want to bring back the original brilliance, use the traditional solution, damp cloth in vinegar/lemon & salt solution & rub the copper pot or buy a cleaning product special for copper items.
