“Gaia Wines” was founded in 1994 by Yiannis Paraskevopoulos, an Agriculturist from AUTh & PhD in Enology from the University of Bordeaux III, & Leon Karatsalos, also an Agriculturist from AUTh. Both founders are examples of the Greek mindset of travelling & of gaining knowledge & experience, characteristics which are transformed into their wines, aiming to offer all wine lovers worldwide, the best possible result, each in their own unique way.
“Moschofilero Wild Ferment” is created with a specific winemaking technique, expressing the multifaceted of its variety in a totally different way. This is one of the rare occasions where Moschofilero is fermented with wild yeasts. The intense aromas of jasmine, rose & sweet lemon combined with the aromas of butter from the French oak barrels bring out a balanced & harmonized wine with a remarkable acidity. A wine with a medium aftertaste, intensity & complexity. A wine that can accompany & harmonize with dishes of Mediterranean cuisine, that have high acidity & delicacies from medium to high intensity, such as grilled or fried fish, white meat, oily & seafood dishes. It can also be enjoyed as an aperitif. To enjoy this wine at its best, serve it at 12oC.
