“Kerkini Farm”, the family farm of Vasilis Papadopoulos, was created back in 1999 & since then is the only vertically integrated buffalo meat unit in Greece over all stages of the chain “from field to shelf”! All farm’s buffaloes are individually identified & certified by the “Ministry of Agricultural Development”. Its facilities are located next to “Kerkini Lake”, a protected wetland by the “International Ramsar Treaty”, that is ideal for the buffaloes’ living. It is their breeding in this environment with such a rich & aromatic flora that offers meat with unique & special taste.
“Kerkini Farm” with respect to the habitat & devotion to tradition, but also having as a compass the modern trends for correct & balanced diet, creates & brings to the family table the most tasty & nutritious buffalo meat products.
“Soutzouki” or “Sujuk” is a traditional cured meat product with intense Anatolian spices mix. Its recipe travelled to Greece from Constantinople & Minor Asia centuries ago. “Kerkini Farm” offers you a delicious version with a mix of buffalo, beef & pork meat, alongside with selected spices in a natural intestine & smoked on beechwood.
